Try Diving!

Coral reef

Fancy trying scuba diving but not quite sure it’s for you? Then come and have a ‘try dive’ with us!

One of our friendly and experienced instructors will guide you through a comprehensive introduction to scuba diving so that you can find out how it feels to breathe underwater wearing full scuba kit.

Almost anyone from the age of 12 upwards can learn to dive, as long as you’re a reasonable swimmer and in good health!

Try dives cost £15 and take place on Thursday evenings in the Quarry Pool.

To book a try dive or to have a chat about what’s involved, email Clare Soltysiak and Elly Hayward (email them both and the first one available will reply) via the email addresses below:

Email Clare – claresolty@btinternet.com

Email Elly – ellyhayward@yahoo.co.uk

Alternatively, just pop along and see us one Thursday evening, in the upstairs cafe at The Quarry Pool in Quarry Park, Shrewsbury, between 7.30pm and 9pm.

Hope to see you soon!

Hello, my 13 year old son and I are interested in joining a diving club and becoming qualified to a level where we can dive to decent depths when on holiday in this country and abroad.

We have done about 3 “Try dives” each. We have looked at the PADI route but have also spoken to a number of people who say the Sub-Aqua club route is a more thorough approach to diving tuition.

Can you tell me more? What options are available, when can we join and what is the cost of membership?

I look forward to hearing from you – Happy new Year!

Hi Andrew, thanks for getting in touch. I’ve forwarded your email address to Gaynor Morris, our Membership Secretary, who will be in touch to talk about some options and the possibility of booking a try dive.

Many thanks,

Lara
